- Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a baking pan.
- Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a bowl with a spatula until light and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Mix in egg and vanilla into butter mixture until smooth.
- Gradually sift in the flour and baking soda into the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips. Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan and make a lip on the edges.
- Spread the Nutella on top of the cookie dough. Then spread the other half of the cookies over the Nutella.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden and the cake springs back when lightly pressed, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Leave it to cool completely in the tin. Then cut to slice it.
