  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a baking pan.
  2. Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a bowl with a spatula until light and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes. Mix in egg and vanilla into butter mixture until smooth.
  3. Gradually sift in the flour and baking soda into the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan and make a lip on the edges.
  5. Spread the Nutella on top of the cookie dough. Then spread the other half of the cookies over the Nutella.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven until golden and the cake springs back when lightly pressed, 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. Leave it to cool completely in the tin. Then cut to slice it.
