Instructions

  1. In a bowl add the egg, vanilla, sugar, milk, and oil and mix them with a hand whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda and mix until all ingredients are incorporated.
  3. Finally, pour the hot water and mix.
  4. Pour the cake batter into a greased cake pan, or 3 small baking dishes.
  5. Bake it in preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes.
  6. Leave it to cool.
  7. Making The Pudding:

  8. Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Over medium heat, slowly add the milk, whisking constantly. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue to whisk for 2 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter until melted.
  10. Pour it over the cooled baked cake.
  11. Finally, pour a thin layer of melted chocolate over the pudding.
  12. Put the pan in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  13. Dust cocoa powder if desired.
