Instructions
- In a bowl add the egg, vanilla, sugar, milk, and oil and mix them with a hand whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda and mix until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Finally, pour the hot water and mix.
- Pour the cake batter into a greased cake pan, or 3 small baking dishes.
- Bake it in preheated oven for 20 – 25 minutes.
- Leave it to cool.
- Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Over medium heat, slowly add the milk, whisking constantly. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue to whisk for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and butter until melted.
- Pour it over the cooled baked cake.
- Finally, pour a thin layer of melted chocolate over the pudding.
- Put the pan in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Dust cocoa powder if desired.
