The best butter cookies recipe you will ever try with simple ingredients and simple steps. These easy butter cookies will melt in your mouth, they’re deliciously soft and crumbly. Make and give these as a homemade edible gift.

Ingredients

  • 115g unsalted butter softened

  • 55g caster sugar or powder sugar

  • 135 g Plain flour

  • 50g Cornstarch

  • 10 g whole Egg

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Heat the oven to 150C First, Beat the soft end unsalted butter for 2 minutes with a spatula.
  • Then add the sugar and mix with a spatula together until pale and fluffy.
  • Then add the egg and vanilla and continue mixing until all ingredients mixed up well.
  • Sift in the flour, cornstarch, and salt and mix again well until just combined and becomes a dough.
  • Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a medium star nozzle.
  • Line a baking tray with Parchment paper. Pipe the dough in small swirls on the large or two smaller baking trays lined with baking Parchment, spacing them apart to allow for them to spread. (If you don’t have a piping bag you can make them in balls).
  • Bake them in preheated oven at 150C for 20_25 minutes until pale golden.
  • Leave to cool on the trays for 5 mins, then transfer to a wire rack to cool
